Let’s face it, spring in the Texas Hill Country can be absolutely breathtaking! The amazing paintings at The Wildflower Art Gallery will give you the impression of being in the middle of a field of wildflowers. Artist Linda Calvert Jacobson grew up on a family farm in rural Texas and found a way to fully capture these wildflowers on canvas. She and her husband David created this charming gallery to showcase her work. They carry original acrylic paintings in multiple sizes as well as gifts with her works reproduced onto the products – such as umbrellas, purses and coffee mugs. Plus a beautiful collection of note cards. Located on the square in the plaza, this is one of the most unique art galleries in Wimberley.

Silo Glass is a cozy glass art studio located in a small silo on Ranch Road 12. Their collection includes small pieces such as decorative keepsakes and glass jewelry, to larger, more regal pieces such as custom heirloom art, serving dishes, decorative bowls, and even glass scenes. Their decorative crystalline dishes are their signature item. They show reflective colors when the light hits them, while being smooth to the touch with the appearance of a bumpy texture. Silo Glass takes commissions – they love creating the pieces you have in mind!
A few years ago the Wimberley art community created a very unique way to display the work of many of our local artists – through Bootiful Wimberley! Various local businesses and organizations sponsored the purchase of large cowboy boot sculptures, then commissioned local artists to paint them. As each artist put their unique spin on the boots and they were installed around town, this created Wimberley’s first public arts project.
Bootiful Wimberley now has 50 boots all over town. They are popular among tourists who like to get their picture taken in front of them, and everyone has a personal favorite. Be sure and take photos of any of the boots you visit and tag us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram! @tourwimberley
