Jacob's Well In Wimberley, Texas

Small Town Fun

Wimberley was named by Buzzfeed as one of the best small towns in Texas and when you visit you will know why.

Whether you’re here for an afternoon or a week, there is plenty to do – shopping, dining, touring our local wineries and breweries, hanging at the river or Blue Hole, and tons of that old fashioned small town fun like parades and rodeos, family events and festivals, and watching a movie under the stars on the side of a barn!

Play Outside

There’s so much to do in Wimberley, it is hard to decide where to start, but no matter what season you visit your trip needs to include some outdoor fun.

Summer days are spent river sittin’ or swinging from a tree into the spring-fed Blue Hole.

Take a picnic to Blue Hole Regional Hike and Bike Trail, climb to the top of “Mt. Baldy”, enjoy a peaceful walk through the enchanting grounds of the Emily Ann Theater or simply take a drive along the Devil’s Backbone and look down at the spectacular views of the Wimberley Valley.

Looking for an adventure? Jump off the 30-foot cliff into the ice-cold water of Jacob’s Well or Zip across the Blanco River on a Zipline.

Ideas for A Romantic Wimberley Vacation

I have figured out there’s plenty to do around Wimberley when my husband and I want to go on a date, but don’t want to venture too far. Here’s a list of some of the off the beaten path spots around town.
